Life Redefined

the tapestry of my past brings to mind
colors both bright and dull
long forgotten memories
woven with shades crimson and black
pain runs deepest like tears of blood
splotches of black, my sorrow they hold
threads of blue, are seen here too
my arrogance that lead to my doom
green and brown so intertwined
speak of deception and jealousy blind
And over it all lays a mist of purple
The part of me untouched and true
And in focus I see an image
Of a great battle fought
A victory won, but a war lays ahead
And blinding white
Is the love that shines
Over a pit of deepest orange
My temptations to overcome
