Moirai

At the first touch... Resonance!

Each element pushing forth

to meet its maker

with resounding silence,

in absolute surrender.

The tapestry of life rewoven

multi-hued like a sparkling diamond,

as sorrows of a million lifetimes

shatter and dispel the darkness.

Peace,hope and love emerge.

Then comes the exaltation

of the new life given,

for the past buried.

An inane sense of fulfillment,

a joy, pure and eternally sublime.

Euphoria

As I lie beneath the canopy

of an ancient banyan tree

listening to the rustling leaves

as peaceful as can be

A million stars in the ink black sky

seen through boughs as old as time

listening to the twittering birds

one with nature, a view sublime

The weathered face and tireless limbs

the secrets and lifetimes of many kings

worshiped with incense and vermilion

carrying hopes of millions on strings

A sanctuary without judgement or scorn

where dreams take flight, where ideas are born

In the embrace of this wonder do I lay

lulled to sleep by a million whispered prayers

Seeking Absolution

There I sat in helpless misery

A fate that was decided

Doomed to die of shame, dishonored

A life spent in vain

Lost in the memories of transgressions

plagued by the sins of my past

No faith remaining, no thought fulfilling

An invisible existence, none would miss

Yearning for redemption

A glimmer of hope

A path to salvation

A life that held promise

Possibility, chance, freedom

A captive within my own self

never to walk the path of life

Every step leading farther into the darkness

No hope for my soul, not even purgatory

There I was a fool, so naive

I thought there was hope for me

clinging onto the possibility desperately

that one day I would have my miracle

But now I see what it's meant to be

A mere existence without a destination

I have reached the tunnel's end

no angel came, I found no absolution
